Numb

Laying on my bed in my room staring at the ceilings and it feels like the walls are closing in on me.
I turn and stare at the clock, but it’s closer than I remember,
It triggers a thought,
I could have sworn this space was bigger,
The invisible hands of ice grip me,
I am Numb all over, My heart is cold
I feel nothing,
But I see this small ray of light as the sun raises its heard from slumber piercing through the blinds,
As night gives way to day
I hope, I pray, It brings sunshine
and I’m slowly thawing
Warming up. Waiting… For sunshine to warm my heart.

Until then I am Numb. Waiting for my sunshine.
